In 1990s I worked as a technical support technician and computer programmer for an area industrial automation company.  I also worked for Xerox Connect first as a support technician where I managed 7 other support personnel then I moved into the education department where I received my MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) certificate and taught Microsoft certification classes.  I also taught Microsoft Office classes.  Later, I worked as a onsite network technician for a small computer networking firm.  During that time is when I became an MCSE.

In 2000, I started my own business (Excel-Net Solutions) where I have built and managed many different small to medium size networks (LAN and WAN).

New networking technologies are coming online all the time.  Microsoft's Hyper-V virtualization product provides a great (and affordable) way for companies to put their server rooms on a diet.  Windows Server 2008 can also be configured as an iSCSI target, which can provide infinitely scaleable storage for any organization.
